Color Week Concludes: Blue

I'm loving that it's Friday, but I'm slightly bummed that there are no more colors to capture. This has been a really fun week. Thanks to everyone for sharing. We're all slightly busy with life, work and of course our animal companions, but we proved a couple minutes a day of leisure activities makes for happier campers.
My favorites! And I got a lovely package with some more Envirosaxs from a certain Suelafa Scott. THANK YOU SUE!!

Couldn't resist taking a picture of the beautiful plates from Steph. The morning sunlight hit it just right.

More Ruby! Her favorite blue frisbee and more blue in her collar. She's supports our local teams.

A vase with marbles in our foyer. I'll always remember Amy's comment: "Everyone has that staple blue vase!"

Creepy? You bet. "Smile with your eyes," my Dad tried to tell us.

Color Week Day 4: Green

Did color week help the days go by faster for anyone else? Thursday already. I love it. Here are just a few green pics for now. I'm not all that elated with them, so I might try to get the camera out again tonight if time is on my side. Stay tuned if you're so inclined.

More 415 yard pictures! Here's a bud from a backyard hasta.

I don't know what kind of tree this is in our backyard (Red Oak in the background - I think this one is some kind of Dogwood), but I love the shape its leaves. I like how the this particular branch created an inverted pyramid of sorts. Anyone else see it?

Since Amy said it was okay to take some liberty with the color, I included this guy. He had a two minute staring contest with Ruby, which made me a bit nervous. Squirrels in this hood are known for un-shy antics. So I spooked him up the tree, to where he took this position for another good 45 seconds, giving us the evil eye. He won. I took Ruby inside.

Again, taking liberty with the color. It dawned on me that Ruby had yet to make an appearance in Color Week. Here she is destroying her new duck toy. Literally, this picture was taken two minutes after we gave it to her. The duck is doing well, although there's not much left of his insides.

Color Week: Yellow Belly

Ahhh yellow. I've been waiting all week for the sunshine color.

"Balloon Dog - Yellow" - by Jeff Koons

This puppy dog is on top of the MET in NYC. Luckily when I was there two weeks ago, I had a hunch that color week was brewing (okay, I didn't). This guy doesn't take a bad picture. My sister and I call him Odie.

This sunflower is on the edge of the Rocky Ripple community garden. If you're looking for eclectic people, homes and gardening - stop by R.R.

Another sunflower outside of R.R. This one includes a friendly bumble bee that decided to visit.

Color Week Day 2: Orange

After work snack.

Our crop of carrots. A bit mutated. We'll stick to green beans.

The dredger that cleans the Central Canal. It has some work to do.

An alternate view of the orange canal, algae eating beast.

Yay for orange. I would have liked to have found more, but we ran out of sun light.

Color Week Begins! Red & Pink

I'm a big fan of red (and Big RED, Go Hoosiers!), but trying to find something outside of my IU hoodie or IU themed bathroom turned out to be tougher than I thought.
1) My Mailbox: The red object I interact with six days a week. It was one of the things I first noticed when we looked at the house.

2) My Garden: Our grape tomatoes were the only one that turned red on the vine for us, so I immediately hit the garden with the camera.

3) Impatients: We have lots of shade in our yard, and impatients are the only flowers that really work so far during our short home ownership tenure. They're such a happy flower. The picture is the underside of the petal.

So It Is

Inspired by some truly creative and awesome peple, here we go. I heart them.
